What We Do
Ruby Canyon Engineering Inc. (RCE) combines a unique understanding of how greenhouse gas emission reduction methodologies, baselines and inventories are developed, with first-hand, technical knowledge when implementing emission reductions projects.
RCE provides a broad range of technical consulting services to companies wishing to conduct GHG inventories, report emissions to the U.S. EPA, and plan strategies for reducing their GHG emissions. As an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited GHG verifier, RCE has an exceptional understanding of the registration requirements for GHG inventories under The Climate Registry (TCR) and California Climate Action Registry (CCAR) and projects registration requirements under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) rules of the Kyoto Protocol and various voluntary GHG registries in the United States.
RCE's engineering background in the oil and gas and coal mining sectors provides an understanding of how methane emissions can be economically reduced through the appropriate implementation of technologies in these two sectors, particularly with methane-to-energy projects. RCE is also experienced in methodology development in the wastewater (anaerobic digestion), biofuels life cycle and transportation sectors.
RCE's principle focus has been providing expert technical services at any stage of the project cycle:
