Grand Junction, Colo. (June 10, 2010) – Ruby Canyon Engineering (RCE), an engineering consulting company whose main focus is greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, is partnering with Keystone Environmental of Vancouver, British Columbia, to verify GHG offset projects in the province.

Starting July 1, 2010, to be accepted as a verification body in Pacific Carbon Trust’s GHG offset program, entities must be ISO 14065 accredited (or undergoing accreditation) by a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). RCE received its ISO 14065 accreditation by IAF member American National Standards Institute. The RCE/Keystone team has met the requirements to be included on the Pacific Carbon Trust’s listing of verification bodies.

“We’re an ANSI accredited body and Keystone has verified many projects in British Columbia in the past. The two companies have complementary skill sets and experiences making Keystone Environmental and Ruby Canyon Engineering a perfect fit,” RCE President Mike Coté said. “We are able to provide our ANSI-based expert verification services and experience and Keystone Environmental has the benefit of being an experienced verifier as well as a local company.”

Nearly all GHG registries in North America that require third-party GHG validation/verification services turn toward ISO 14065 accredited verification bodies for impartial and accurate GHG verification statements.
