GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (October 7, 2010) – Ruby Canyon Engineering President Mike Coté presented the company’s Coal Mine Methane (CMM) Drainage and Utilization Feasibility Study from the Tai Xi Coal Group (China) during the U.S. Coal Mine Methane Conference on October 6, 2010, in Birmingham, Ala. Principal authors of the study are Ronald Collings, Ruby Canyon Engineering; William Tonks and Matthew Hill, Harworth Energy; Felicia Ruiz, U.S. EPA.
The presentation focused on the assessment of fourteen coal mines in Inner Mongolia, China, and the feasibility of achieving high quality CMM drainage for recovery and utilization at a remote site.

In addition, Ruby Canyon Engineering associate, Collon Kennedy presented a paper on Legal Issues Affecting Coal Mine Methane Projects during the same conference. Ruby Canyon Engineering President, Michael Coté, co-authored the presentation. The presentation provided an overview of the regulatory, legal, financial and other challenges facing the development of coal mine methane projects in the United States.
