Grand Junction, Colo. (Jan. 12, 2012) – Ruby Canyon Engineering, Inc. (RCE), an engineering consulting company whose main focus is greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, received scope extensions to its American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accreditation in ISO 14065: 2007 Greenhouse Gases. Recently, RCE has met the requirements to conduct GHG validations for project level scope extensions for Group 1 (fuel combustion), Group 2 (industrial processes), Group 5 (livestock) and Group 6 (waste). RCE received the Group 1 & 2 accreditation extensions on October 6, 2011 and the Group 5 & 6 accreditation extensions on January 6, 2012.
As an ANSI-accredited, third-party GHG validating/verifying body – the first in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region – the company, is accredited under ISO 14065 to perform verifications of assertions related to GHG emissions and removals at the "organizational level", including the following groups:
