Project Origination/PIN - RCE performs project identification, evaluation, and pre-feasibility studies for GHG emission reduction projects under the Kyoto protocol and voluntary carbon market rules. RCE produces project identification notes (PINs) for prospective projects.
GHG Inventory - RCE produces Tier 2 GHG inventories for U.S. EPA in the coal mining and natural gas sectors. RCE participates in corporate GHG inventories as well.
Emission Reduction Validation – RCE performs project validation services for GHG emission reduction project owners in the various U.S. carbon markets. In doing so, RCE prepares preliminary project information and economic analysis, and estimates the volume of VERs to be generated by the project. Click graphic to learn more.
Project Design Documents – RCE authors project design documents currently registered by the UNFCCC under the Clean Development Mechanism rules of the Kyoto Protocol. RCE authors PDDs for registeration with the various voluntary GHG registries in the U.S. and Canada. Click graphic to learn more.
Project Engineering and Implementation – While RCE does not design or implement projects themselves, we offer expert technical services in resource assessment, technology evaluation, economic analysis, and vendor selection for clients' projects.
Monitoring Plan/Reports – RCE develops monitoring plans for registered GHG reduction projects, and prepares annual crediting period monitoring reports for project owners.
Third Party Verifications – RCE is an approved verifier of the Chicago Climate Exchange for GHG emission reduction projects in the coal mine methane and renewable energy sectors. RCE performs third-party verifications for private sales or over-the-counter VER trades in the U.S. carbon market.
Register Carbon Credits –
RCE understands the rules and requirements associated with each of
the U.S. GHG registries to enable clients to register their emissions
reductions. RCE works closely with several of the major carbon market
players that are seeking CERs/VERs.
